Hoobee Doo'bee:
Do As I Do (1999)

"Hoobee Doo'bee: Do As I Do"
TEXT from Video Back Cover

Join Hoobee Doo'bee and the Doo'bees -- Pheebee, Abbee, Bobbee, Rugbee and Buzbee, in this entertainment packed family video.

Watch how the Doo'bees help Buzzbee search for his lost smile.

And don't be near Hoobee Doo'bee when he starts to dance because he loses his balance and falls on everyone.

Then see both Bobbee and Rugbee as they sing the coolest rap song to stop themselves from fighting.

Discover and appreciate the magic of life through song and learn how to overcome sadness, avoid conflict, and live in a happier home.

In a short time you too, will be singing and dancing along with them.

"Do As I Do" has been created as a parenting tool to help parents re-establish family values within the home. The Doo'bees are the older brothers and sisters of young children who live in a world where media encourages violence and selfishness.

ENSIGN PEAK

DO AS I'M DOING
Do as I'm do-ing; Fol-low, fol-low me!
Do as I'm do-ing; Fol-low, fol-low me!
If I do it high or low, If I do it fast or slow,
Do as I'm doing; Fol-low, fol-low me!
Do as I'm doing; Fol-low, fol-low me!

"GIVE," SAID THE LITTLE STREAM
"Give," said the lit-tle stream,
"Give, oh! give, give, oh! give."
"Give," said the little stream,
As it hur-ried down the hill;
"I'm small, I know, but wher-ev-er I go
The fields grow green-er still."

CHORUS
Sing-ing, sing-ing all the day,
"Give a-way, oh! give a-way."
Sing-ing, sing-ing all the day,
"Give, oh! give a-way."

"Give," said the lit-tle rain,
"Give, oh! give, give, oh! give."
"Give," said the lit-tle rain,
As it fell up-on the flow'rs;
"I'll raise their droop-ing heads a-gain,"
As it fell up-on the flow'rs.

CHORUS
Sing-ing, sing-ing all the day,
"Give a-way, oh! give a-way."
Sing-ing, sing-ing all the day,
"Give, oh! give a-way."

Give, then, as Je-sus gives,
Give, oh! give, give, oh! give.
Give then, as Je-sus gives;
There is some-thing all can give.
Do as the streams and blos-soms do;
For God and oth-ers live.

CHORUS
Sing-ing, sing-ing all the day,
"Give a-way, oh! give a-way."
Sing-ing, sing-ing all the day,
"Give, oh! give a-way."

MY HEAVENLY FATHER LOVES ME
When-ev-er I hear the song of a bird,
Or look at the blue, blue sky;
When-ev-er I feel the rain on my face,
Or the wind as it rush-es by;
When-ev-er I touch a vel-vet rose;
Or walk by our li-lac tree,
I'm glad that I live in this beau-ti-ful world,
Heav'n-ly Fa-ther cre-at-ed for me.
Heav'n-ly Fa-ther cre-at-ed for me.
Ensign Peak, Inc.1999

SPRINGTIME IS COMING
Spring-time is com-ing, is com-ing to-day;
For I heard a ro-bin
who was cal-ling her this way.
Two lit-tle rob-ins, high up in a tree,
Are build-ing a nest and are as bus-y as can be.
Ensign Peak, Inc.1999

LITTLE PURPLE PANSIES
Lit-tle pur-ple pan-sies,
touched in ye-llow gold,
Grow-ing in one cor-ner of the gar-den old;
We are ver-y ti-ny but must try, try, try
Just one spot to glad-den, you and I.
In what-ev-er corn-er we may chance to grow,
Wheth-er cold or warm
the wind may ev-er blow,
Dark the day or sunny, we must try, try, try
Just one spot to glad-den, you and I.
Ensign Peak, Inc.1999

IN THE LEAFY TREETOPS
In the leaf-y tree-tops,
the birds sing "Good morn-ing."
They're first to see the sun.
They must tell ev-'ry - one.
In the leaf-y tree-tops,
the birds sing "Good morn-ing."

In my pret-ty garden,
the flow-ers are nod-ding.
"How do you do?" they say.
"How do you do to-day?"
In my pret-ty garden,
the flow-ers are nod-ding.
Ensign Peak, Inc.1999

BIRDS IN THE TREE
We will find a lit-tle nest
In the branch-es of a tree.
Let us count the eggs in-side;
There are one, two three.

Moth-er bird sits on the nest
To hatch the eggs, all three.
Fath-er flies round and round
To guard his fam-i-ly.
Ensign Peak, Inc.1999

POPCORN POPPING
I looked out the win-dow, and what did I see?
Pop-corn pop-ping on the ap-ri-cot tree!
Spring has brought me such a nice sur-prise,
Blos-sums pop-ping right be-fore my eyes.
I could take an arm-ful and make a treat,
A pop-corn ball that would smell so sweet.
It was-n't real-ly so, but it seemed to be
Pop-corn pop-ping on the ap-ri-cot tree.
Ensign Peak, Inc.1999

OH, WHAT DO YOU DO
IN THE SUMMERTIME?

Oh, what do you [sic] in the sum-mer time,
when all the world is green?
Do you fish in a stream,
or la-zi-ly dream on the banks
as the clouds go by?

CHORUS
Is that what you do? So do I!

Oh, what do you do in the sum-mer-time,
when all the world is green?
Do you swim in the pool, to keep your-self
cool, or swing in a tree up high?

CHORUS
Is that what you do? So do I!

Oh, what do you do in the sum-mer-time,
when all the world is green?
Do you march in pa-rades,
or drink lem-on-ades,
or count all the stars in the sky?

CHORUS
Is that what you do? So do I!
Ensign Peak, Inc.1999

SMILES
If you chance to meet a frown,
Do not let it stay.
Quickly turn it up-side
And smile that frown a-way.

No one likes a frown-ing face.
Change it for a smile.
Make the world a bet-ter place
By smil-ing all the while.
Ensign Peak, Inc.1999

A SMILE IS LIKE THE SUNSHINE
A smile is like the sun-shine;
It brightens up the day.
It gives the eye a twin-kle
And chas-es frowns a-way.
Ensign Peak, Inc.1999

TWO LITTLE EYES
Two lit-tle eyes that blink, blink, blink
Two lit-tle eyes that see;
Head and shoul-ders knees and toes;
And man-y more things make me.
Tra la la   la la la, Two lit-tle eyes that see,
Two lit-lte [sic] eyes that blink, blink, blink,
And man-y more things make me.
Ensign Peak, Inc.1999

I HAVE TWO EARS
I have two ears to hear the truth,
Two eyes to see the good.
I have two feet to car-ry me
To plac-es where I should.

I'll try to use them wise-ly
In my work and play.
I thank my Heav'n-ly Father
For mak-ing me this way.
Ensign Peak, Inc.1999

TWO HAPPY FEET
I have two hap-py lit-tle feet
To take me where I go.
The [sic] hop me and they skip me,
And make a noise I know.
But in my Heav'n-ly Fa-ther's house
So softly do they fall
That though I walk,
you can-not hear
My lit-tle feet at all.
Ensign Peak, Inc.1999

I HAVE TWO LITTLE HANDS
I have two lit-tle hands
fold-ed snug-gly and tight.
They are ti-ny and weak,
yet they know what is right.
Dur-ing all the long hours
till day-light is through,
There is plen-ty in-deed
for my two hands to do.

Kind Fa-ther, I thank thee
for two lit-tle hands
And ask thee to bless them
till each un-der-stands
That chil-dren can on-ly be hap-py all day
When two lit-tle hands
have learned how to o-bey.
Ensign Peak, Inc.1999

MY HANDS
My hands up-on my head I'll place,
Up-on my shoul-ders, on my face,
At my waist, and by my side,
And then be-hind me they will hide.
Then I will raise them way up high,
And let my fing-ers fly, fly, fly.
Then clap, clap, clap, and one, two, three-
Just see how qui-et they can be.
Ensign Peak, Inc.1999

I WIGGLE
I wig-gle my fin-gers, I wig-gle my toes.
I wig-gle my shoul-ders, I wig-gle my nose.
Now, no more wig-gles are left in me;
So I will be sill, as still as can be.
Ensign Peak, Inc.1999

SATURDAY
Sat-ur-day is a spec-ial day.
It's the day we get read-y for Sun-day.
We clean the house, and we shop at the store,
So we won't have to work un-til Mon-day.
We brush our clothes,
and we shine our shoes,
And we call it our get-the-work-done day.
Then we trim our nails,
and we sham-poo our hair,
So we can be ready for Sun-day.
Ensign Peak, Inc.1999

WHEN WE'RE HELPING
When we're help-ing we're hap-py, And we
sing as we go;
And we like to [sic] moth-er, For we all love her so.

CHORUS
Tra la la la la la la, Tra la la la la la,
Tra la la la la la la, Tra la la la la la,

When we're help-ing we're hap-py,
And we sing as we go;
And we like to help fath-er,
For we all love him so.

CHORUS
Tra la la la la la la, Tra la la la la la,
Tra la la la la la la, Tra la la la la la,
Ensign Peak, Inc.1999

QUICKLY I'LL OBEY
When my moth-er calls me,
Quick-ly I'll o-bey,
I want to do just what is best,
Each and ev-er'y day.

OSTINATO (sing it again quicker)
Quick-ly I'll o-bey. Quick-ly I'll o-bey.

When my fa-ther calls me,
Quick-ly I'll o-bey,
I want to do just what is best,
Each and ev'-ery day.
Ensign Peak, Inc.1999

A HAPPY FAMILY
I loe moth-er; she loves me.
We love dad-dy, yes sir-ree;
He loves us, and so you see,
We are a hap-py fam-i-ly.

I love sis-ter; she loves me.
We love broth-er, yes sir-ree;
He loves us, and so you see,
We are a hap-py fam-i-ly.
Ensign Peak, Inc.1999

CHOOSE TO REFUSE
Listen ev'-ry body, I got good news,
When it comes to fight-ing,
You must re-fuse.
Temp-er and ang-er, it ain't no use,
It gets you hot and both-ered,
Then it gies you the blues.

This is what you do just keep your cool,
Take a deep breath in and re-mem-ber the rule.
There's no need for fight-ing
you can't take it back,
When you hurt some-body, that is that.

Don't blow your fuse, Re-mem-ber the rules,
When it comes to fight-ing, you must re-fuse.

Don't blow your fuse, Re-mem-ber the rules,
When it comes to fight-ing,
YOU MUST RE-FUSE.
Ensign Peak, Inc.1999

LOVE IS SPOKEN HERE
I see my moth-er kneel-ing
with our fam-i-ly each day.
I hear the words she whis-pers
as she bows her head to pray.
Her plea to the Fa-ther qui-ets all my fears,
And I am thank-ful love is spo-ken here.

Mine is a home where ev-r'y hour,
Is blessed by the strength
of parent-hood pow'r,
With fa-ther and moth-er leading the way,
Teach-ing me how to trust and o-bey;
And the things they teach are crys-tal clear;
For love is spo-ken here.

COMBINE FIRST AND SECOND VERSE
I can of-ten feel the Sav-iour near,
When love is spo-ken here.

Have you wondered who Denzel is? Well, he's Craig Piehopa's son. Denzel has Down-Syndrome [sic]. We put this soundtrack and video together for him and all the children of the world of all ages. Do you know that Down-Syndrome children really enjoy music and colors? It helps them grow and enjoy life. Denzel's mother Marcellina, suggests you share this with not just your friends but all children like Denzel. You'll see some very big smiles and it will help you feel good too!

Everybody who worked on Do As I Do, worked very hard. Though the hours were long, we all enjoyed each others company and became great friends.

We thank God, in Heaven for His many tender mercies, for being a constant friend in the long mid-night hours. This, as with everything is His work and His glory.

See you soon in Do As I Do 2

   Elizabeth, Michael, Craig and Reinhardt!
