AMERICAN PROPHET:

The Story of Joseph Smith

(1999) Gregory Peck narrates this powerful story of a tumultuous chapter in 19th century American religious history. Who was this Joseph Smith and what was it about his remarkable life story which inspired such impassioned rancor or unflinching reverence?

Epilogue

Joseph Smith established the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1830 at a remote New York farmhouse. That spring, the first 5,000 editions of the Book of Mormon were printed.

Today, church membership exceeds 10 million members in more than 160 nations. Printing of the Book of Mormon totals nearly 100 million books in over 90 languages.
