"Wonder Boys" was re-released this week, after many months of absence from theaters. It was re-released with the hopes that being in theaters would remind Academy voters of the film, to hopefuly garner Academy Award nominations. It was a gambit that paid off. The film eventually received 3 Academy Award nominations (Best Editing, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Song), including one win (Best Song). The numbers for "Wonder Boys" in the "Days" column in the table above show the total number of days the film has actually been in theaters, and not the number of days since it was first released. (Thus, the period of time during which the film was NOT in theaters are not included in the "Days" figure.)
